The home of the cockatiel

It lives in Australia and is currently located in some parts of Europe, Asia and Africa.

Cockatiel breeding

It breeds in certain seasons, especially in the early spring, when the male makes some western sounds and quick movements, which attracts the female’s attention to him. After mating, the female lays 5 to 7 eggs in the nest (usually a nest inside a cage) and the female incubates the eggs (and may share them). The male is incubated if the female is confirmed that he is affectionate) for a period ranging from 17 to 19 days, after which the eggs hatch and the young chicks emerge and each of the parents provides food and care for them, for a period ranging from 35 to 40 days, and after this period these chicks become able to rely on themselves.

The difference between male and female cockatiels

There are some differences in the cockatiel between the male and the female that can be distinguished between them, and the following are some of them:
- The difference in voice and singing: the male can make beautiful sounds and tweets, while the female makes some high chirping sounds.
The color of the plumage varies: the male has beautiful gray plumage and there are bright and beautiful orange spots on his cheeks, while the female has lemon yellow feathers and there are orange spots on her cheeks with a non-bright and dark color.
– The difference in length and color of the tail: the male has a long and beautiful tail and has a blackish-brown color, while the female has a short tail and is devoid of yellow color.
